Glad Tidings College adheres to the biblical faith of historic Christianity, as outlined in the following doctrinal statements:
It is our belief that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and life. It is divinely inspired and entirely without error.
We affirm that there is one God, the Creator of all things, who exists eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin—fully God and fully man—and was crucified to pay the penalty for our sins. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin and to regenerate, sanctify, comfort, and empower believers with spiritual gifts and fruit.
It is our conviction that humanity is inherently sinful and cannot attain salvation through its own efforts. Salvation comes by the grace of God when an individual turns from sin and self to Christ, placing faith in His death and resurrection as the full payment for sin.
We hold that baptism by immersion symbolizes the believer’s union with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s Supper is observed to commemorate the sacrifice of our Savior for all humankind..
