Youth Vision: Our vision is to help youth in our communities to know God and to have a personal relationship with him. Our aim is to help them grow so that they become strong man and woman of our society and make a difference for them self and the future generation. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not part from it” Prov 22:6(KJV)
Our youth ministry gives us a chance to reach children and teens in our city and lead them to Christ. Our youths are not only the future of tomorrow but they are God’s precious gifts to us. “Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth” Psalm 127:3-5. At FRIM we help to develop the mental strength of our youth so that they can stand up against peer pleasure, low self-esteem etc. we do this through educational program, counseling, having motivational speakers, leadership seminars among others. We also go on educational outings as a group.
ACTIVITIES: The activities in which youth engage while outside of school hours are critical to their development so it is our goal to provide programming that is intentional and recognizes and enhances young people’s strengths; promotes positive outcomes for youth; provides opportunities; fosters positive relationships, and focuses on the support needed to build character and leadership. This is accomplished by providing tools and resources to help them reach their full potential.
PURPOSES: Positive youth development programs strengthen young people's sense of identity, belief in the future, self-regulation, and self-efficacy as well as their social, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral competence.
Our Youth Development Programs serve youth between the ages of 5-30 and are designed to support and enhance personal, social, educational, and vocational competency to reach their full potential.
Children and youth can learn what community is, how communities are built, where community development and planning fails, and what roles they can play throughout the processes. Stories Young people can become motivated and inspired to create change through community development with stories
GOALS: Training young people about community development can be engaging and empowering in many ways. Children and youth can learn what community is, how communities are built, where community development and planning fails, and what roles they can play throughout the processes.
Bridging Community and Development: ethnic and culture, providing ample opportunities through sustained relationships with adults, other youth, and community organizations. Community becomes a process that meets the developmental needs of youth, prevents them from becoming engaged in problematic behaviors, and empowers them to competencies that are necessary for becoming engaged citizens
Education and scholarship: prepare youth form post-secondary intuition to locate the their potentials in education
